St. Elizabeth is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, sponsored by St. Elizabeth Parish and accredited by Middle States Association, Commission on Elementary Schools and AdvancED.
As a Catholic School, St. Elizabeth creates a vibrant, loving environment where the message of God is known, the community is alive and service is an integral part of life.
St. Elizabeth School has a total enrollment of 585 students. Kindergarten has an average of twenty students per homeroom. Grades 1-8 have a homeroom size averaging thirty students with a teacher and a full-time instructional assistant in Junior Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Sixty (60) lay professionals staff the school (certified professionals with many advanced degrees).
Spanish is offered for students in grades 3 through 8. French & Spanish are offered for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Art, Music, Library, and Computers are offered once a week. Physical Education is offered twice a week to grade school students. Students utilize the outdoor fields and nature trail, Art Room, Science Lab, and newly equipped Computer Lab. Students also enjoy extra recess in Preschool through Grade 2.
St. Elizabeth School’s Resource Center serves our student population through a variety of supplemental learning services. It is staffed by 2 full time faculty members and a Director of Resource.
The school offers a range of extracurricular activities ranging from CYO and City of Rockville athletics (soccer, basketball, track, baseball, volleyball) to a number of school specific clubs (Code, Drama, Newspaper, Photography, Robotics, Safety Patrols, Science Club, Scouts, & Student Council).
St. Elizabeth School students have access to technology through iPad carts, Promethean Boards, and fully equipped computer and science labs to aid instruction. The back field has two soccer goals, a baseball field and playground. Preschool and Kindergarten students enjoy a separate playground and play area. The school also houses a music room, stage, library, and Resource Center.
